Tapestry Angels, by William Morris Angeli Laudantes and Ministrantes are originally designed by Burne-Jones in 1878 for a Morris and Co. window in the Salisbury Cathedral. The original tapestries were woven at the Merton Abbey Works of Morris and Company in 1894, now housed in the Victoria and Albert Museum.
William Morris is well known as a designer, craftsman, writer and socialist, born March 24, 1834 at Elm House, Walthamstow.
