This section shows the Knights of the Round Table gathering their arms and preparing to depart on their spiritual mission to find the cup that Jesus and the disciples drank from at The Last Supper and otherwise known as The Holy Grail.

History: Holy Grail I is a European jacquard wall tapestry based on the original tapestry designed by Edward Burne-Jones and woven by Morris & Co. in 1895-96. It is one of the six panels illustrating the story of the Quest for the Holy Grail. This work represents the arming and departure of of knights of the Round Table.
