A sophisticated and unique wall hanging that is intriguing to completely take in at one sitting. The Stoclet Frieze Tapestry is exceptional and a nice addition to enhance the wall decor in the modern and contemporary home.
The Stoclet Frieze is a series of three mosaics created by Austrian Symbolist painter Gustav Klimt for a 1905-1911 commission for the Palais Stoclet in Brussels. The separate panels depict swirling trees of life, a lone standing female figure and an embracing couple.
Klimt's primary subject was the female body. Our artisans have woven these three classic paintings into one vividly bold textile interpretation. A fine wall tapestry showcasing Klimt's use of geometric shapes, brilliant color palette, and intricate detail.
