History: This jacquard wall tapestry is an extract of the tapestry Le Gout, or The Taste, which is part of the Lady and the Unicorn: a set of six tapestries woven around 1500 in Flanders. The Lady with the Unicorn series. These splendid six tapestries are displayed at the Cluny Museum in Paris. They were woven in about 1510 featuring the arms of Jean le Viste, each representing one of the senses except for the final A Mon Seul Desir.
